When I'm not building something, you can usually find me outdoors in nature! Below is some of my other interests/things I'm exploring.
No better way to spend a summer day than out on the water in my kayak fishing! I primarily fish via lures in smaller lakes but occasionally use live bait when on the Great Lakes!
Selfie at Ha-Ling peak in the Rocky Mountains in Canmore, AB! I used to live near the Rocky Mountains, but now in Ontario I love to camp around Algonquin park!
During my hikes I often collect samples of native plant species, identify and preserve them via pressing. Check out my Trillium pressing and this giant Puffball mushroom I found!
I have dabbled in leatherworking, making custom sheathes for my blades as well as some accessories like wallets and even some armor pieces!
Going hand-in-hand with hiking, geocaching is the game of finding/hiding/logging caches in urban and wilderness areas. As of 2025, I have over 260 finds, all across Canada!
Who doesn't love bread? I enjoy baking (and eating even more honestly) savory and sweet alike! These are some small baguettes I made for steak sandwiches! Fun fact: I once baked a different type of bread every week for my friends in my apartment during University!
To round out my other collections of oddities, I'm also interested in minerology/rockhounding! Here's a photo of some amethyst I mined in Thunder Bay, ON as well as a Horn Coral fossil I found in the Alberta Badlands.
I am a novice archer, mainly just target practice around my yard, but I am slowly improving! Eventually planning on building my own bow some day as a fun project.
